Remus has always been my favorite HP character and your portrayal of him was just so on target, so HIM that I got all misty-eyed.

I like this story. It is a little amusing, a little sad and very Lupin. Remus would deffinitely reach out and help anyone who asked for it. It makes sense that he does it to counter the "wolf within"! Thanks for writing. pms

Interesting, probably the only story to psychoanalyze Remus' character and present a fleshed out happenstance for him. Quite ingenius really - also concerning the psychological and emotional cognitive behaviour he emulates and experiences.

The word at the end - Civilised - is a unique way to put this idea of what is right, what is wrong, what is expected, and what is not expected forward. That said, I certainly didn't expect this!!!

A very illuminating glimpse into the life of Remus Lupin. Thanks for taking the time to write this down - I really enjoyed it.
A short interlude between the constant tension and high emotions of wartime, taken to reflect on one's humanity. After all, sleep is something that reminds us that we're all really the same - both the wealthiest king and the most humble beggar close their eyes at night.

i admit the beginging had me thinking something else entirely but instead f smut I found a very nice character piece of Remus Lupin and his place in the order and his 'family'...not that I would have said no to smut :)

Hope you do more, turn this into a series, perhaps, one of each character and there place in the dynamic?
